Welcome to Nigeria's National Examination Stage

Dear Participant,

We warmly welcome you to Nigeria's National Stage of the African Biology Olympiad, a prestigious competition that brings together brilliant young minds from across the continent to showcase excellence in biological sciences.

This stage marks a significant milestone in your Olympiad journey. As you compete at the national level, remember that your participation represents the dedication, knowledge, and resilience that define the next generation of African scientists.


Important Information:

  • Please read the following instructions carefully before starting your examination:


  • Exam Start Time: Your exam will begin precisely at 11 am

  • Duration: 45 minutes. The exam is strictly timed and must be completed within the allocated time.

  • Format: The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice and structured questions covering key biology topics.


    • Platform: This is a computer-based test.


      You must ensure stable internet access and a quiet environment throughout the exam.


    • Login Details: Your login credentials will be sent to your school coordinator by email and WhatsApp number 1 hour before your exam time.


      If you have not received them, kindly contact your school/national coordinator or reach out to our support team.


    •  Access Time: The exam room will only be accessible 15 to 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time.


      You must not begin the exam until your designated start time.


      The room will remain locked until your access window opens, and it will be locked again 15 minutes after the exam ends.



Exam Guidelines:

  1. Supervision: The supervising teacher is present to ensure a smooth and fair exam. Students, please follow all instructions from your supervising teacher.

  3. Exam Room: Do not refresh or close your browser once the exam begins. The timer begins immediately upon login. You are allowed to answer each question once only. Do not use books, calculators, or other aids. This is an individual, merit-based assessment.

    1. Device Requirements: Use a laptop or desktop for the best experience. Ensure strong internet connectivity throughout the exam. Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers (updated versions).

  6. Environment: Sit in a quiet, well-lit room. No assistance or second device is allowed during the test. Any form of malpractice will result in disqualification.


  1. Submission: Your answers will be automatically submitted once the time expires. If you complete the exam early, click Submit to finalize.

Once it's 11 am press the "Start" button of your category below to enter the exam room and begin.
